Remmert Studios specializes in the design and fabrication of custom furnishings. Over the years, the studio has built an outstanding reputation for its fine liturgical furniture and appointments.
 Owned and operated by Steve Remmert and his business partner and wife, Chris Lord, Remmert Studios is located about 60 miles south of Chicago, Illinois. Furnishings and appointments produced Remmert studios can be found in homes, businesses, and churches both nationally and throughout the midwest.
Professional Artisan, Stephen A. Remmert
 For over twenty years, Steve has custom designed and fabricated high quality, one-of-a-kind pieces. Committed to quality and excellence, he enjoys the hands-on orchestration of the entire process from design to installation. He has extensive experience as a musical instrument maker, homebuilder and cabinetmaker.
Steve holds a master’s degree in religious education from Boston College affording him a rich understanding of the theological and ecclesiastical considerations for creating sacred spaces. Steve’s bachelor’s degree is in industrial education and he is a seasoned instructor in woodworking. Over an 18 year period, he was adjunct professor at the junior college level and taught secondary school Industrial Arts, focusing on woodworking.

Professional Liturgist, Chris Lord
In addition to managing the business, Chris shares her liturgical expertise in the studio. Her sensitivity to sacred space, coupled with knowledge and experience creating inspiring liturgies, helps guide the design of sacred furnishings.
She holds a master’s degree in pastoral ministry and liturgy from Boston College and has over twenty years of professional experience in the church.
